Men! Its time to rise up against the oppression of our reproductive choices!

Why do we not have the same rights as women in this regard?

Lets say that "Bob" and "Sue" hook up at the club one night. After a few too many drinks they decide to go to her place and do the horizontal mambo. A few weeks later Sue notices that Aunt Flo hasn't made her monthly visit. Uh oh!

Sue decides that she doesn't want to have the baby. She doesn't have to ask Bob how he feels about the issue. After all, its her body, by gum, and the law says she has a right to choose.

In the meantime, Bob has suffered a mechanical bull-related injury (ouchie!) and will never be able to father children again. He finds out that Sue is pregnant and about to have an abortion. He contacts her and begs her to please have the child. It may be the only chance he will ever have to father a child.

Bob is screwed (aside from the testicular jellification). He doesn't have any rights in this situation. However, if the situation were reversed and Sue wanted to have the child, she could go right ahead and have it. Even if Bob doesn't want a child, he is bound by her decision. The woman has all the rights and the man has none.

When two consenting adults have sex that results in an unwanted pregnancy, both of those adults should have input into any decisions regarding the child. If both want to have the child or if both want to abort it, then its a win-win situation (for the adults anyway).

But if either one wants to keep the child over the objections of the other, then the party that wants to keep the child should have to assume all responsibility for it, be it the male or the female. It should not be the woman alone who is allowed to decide the fates of both herself and the man. This is sexofascism and is just as wrong as a man making a woman give him head to get a raise.

"When it comes to reproduction, in America today women have rights and men merely have responsibilities."
